Whilst living in NYC Bay came upon the format known as a “Solo Show” … As someone who had dipped their toe in many different disciplines, Bay jumped at the opportunity to put all the things they love (singing, dancing, being silly, telling a story, etc.) into one theatrical experience. Bay’s first solo show “Growing Into My Beard” was written in 2015 and performed for the first time in the iconic basement theatre Under St Marks in the East Village NYC. In Growing Into My Beard (aka G.I.M.B.) we enjoy a heartfelt story about one ginger's personal quest to understand & celebrate his/their identity AND to obtain TRUE LOVE --the kind that can ALWAYS be found in the movies starring Drew Barrymore (love you drew)... By way of original songs, dramatically told personal anecdotes and justified farcical movement, Bay weaves together a coming-of-age tale that is romantically nostalgic, profoundly authentic and above all HOPEFUL.
