Marching in the Marade...

Jan. 16th, 2017 - Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Denver, CO

We walked. We sang. We were one.

On a crisp January morning I walked alongside thousands of people & felt a great sense of home and of belonging. As I weaved through the crowd I became inspired to somehow capture it's palpable spirit...

As I looked around me I saw these living breathing snapshots of love, hope, and the fight for a brighter future --The man carrying a cross; the girl riding on her dad's shoulders as if he were her noble steed and she were riding into battle; the woman pushing her baby in a buggy while holding up her burning sage...

After the parade, while looking for quotes from Martin Luther King Jr., I stumbled on one that echoes an ongoing personal reflection of mine that has to do with meaning and fulfillment:

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?" -MLK Jr.
